Church network rebuild: UniFi, VLANs and physical security
A church in Sterling, Ohio came to me with persistent problems across their UniFi network. The equipment had been installed by a previous contractor but never properly configured.
I redesigned the network around purpose-built VLANs — dedicated segments for livestream production, guest Wi-Fi and office operations, plus an isolated DMZ for video recordings. I then configured their UniFi physical security system, bringing door access readers and cameras online.
The whole engagement was delivered remotely: their team handled the on-site hardware work while I handled the design, configuration and security.
